Set within 3 miles of Oxford City Centre, Oxford Golf Club (formerly known as Southfield Golf Club) sits upon naturally rolling Oxfordshire countryside and is complemented by many stunning views of the city itself. The club itself was originally opened in 1875 by university graduates and now plays hosts to 3 different clubs. The clubhouse has relaxed open-plan lounge with views of the 18th green. The bar serves a great selection of wines, beers and guest brands and the restaurant is on hand should you fancy something to eat. Designed by the famous golf course designer: Harry Colt, the Oxford Golf Club is predominantly built on sand meaning the course drains fantastically well, rendering it playable all year. There is a challenging start to Oxford Golf Club, and focus is needed on the first 3 holes in order to avoid dropping shots early on. Measuring 6325 off the white tees, the course favours the longer hitter but there are plenty of hazards to punish errant shots.
