The championship layout of the two golf courses at Kings Ridge Golf Club, the Kings Course is a very playable Lloyd Clifton design with generous fairways and greens. The course, which opened in 1996, joins the outstanding par-57 Ridge Course designed by Ron Garl. Together they make for a great Florida golf experience combination. Laid out along naturally rolling terrain, the par-71 Kings Course offers elevated tees, some 40 bunkers, and wide fairways, some of which are lined by pine trees. The bunkers are fairly shallow, and the large greens have subtle breaks, which can make them a challenge to read. On most of the holes, you can miss the greens, however, with a good opportunity to get the ball up and down. Still, the course, which has five sets of tees ranging from 4,598 yards to 6,269 yards, has plenty of challenges. A good example is the no. 1 handicap hole, the par-4 seventh, which plays nearly 450 yards from the back tees. And the fairway bunker on the opening hole, a short par-4, is the largest on the course, so golfers will want to avoid that right off the bat. Besides the golf courses, Kings Ridge Golf Club has excellent practice facilities with a driving range, short-game area with practice bunker, and practice putting green. In the clubhouse, golfers will find a well-stocked golf shop with the latest apparel and accessories. There's also a snack shop with a patio, offering sandwiches and beverages.
