Independence Golf Club is Richmond`s most upscale public golf course designed by Tom Fazio and re-designed by renowned architect, Lester George in 2014-2015. Previously owned by the Virginia State Golf Association Foundation, Independence has found new ownership under two brothers who bought the facility in 2013 and began a full-scale renovation on both clubhouse and course. This one-of-kind facility offers a Championship 18-Hole course with all new Champion Bermuda greens, a Bon Secours 9-Hole Mentor Short Course, an impressive, newly-renovated Jeffersonian-style clubhouse, an extensive practice area and a multitude of programs for juniors and adults of all skill levels.
