Golf Courses in Greenville, TX

Known as the “Cotton Capital of the World,” Greenville is a city of just under 30,000, located about 50 miles northeast of Dallas. The city is home of the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum, which pays tribute to its most valuable cash crop as well as its local war hero and Hollywood star. Greenville has much else to offer as well, though, including a historic downtown area that offers wineries, antiques, public gardens, boutique shopping and the historic Greenville Municipal Auditorium. It also has its fair share of golf both locally and in surrounding communities. There are two nine-hole courses in Greenville, the private Oak Creek Country Club, and Wright Park Golf Course, a very enjoyable par-37 facility that offers tee times to the public. There are dozens of other choices, though, in neighboring communities. Among the best is Buffalo Creek Golf Club, a terrific Tom Weiskopf/Jay Morrish design in Rockport.
